In July 2015, I met up with Astrid, the face behind the wonderful postcard webshop Cardcetera. Astrid runs her beautiful webshop & blog with much love & enthusiasm. She has turned Cardcetera into a true postcard heaven for Postcrossing fanatics, snail mail lovers & anybody else who still enjoys sending & receiving postcards the old-fashioned way. Her webshop offers a wide variety of postcards, ranging from some well-known & much- loved collections to unique, new postcards published by Cardcetera itself.
After seeing some of the June & July photos of my ‘2015 photo project’ , Astrid became really enthusiastic about my photos & we thought it was about time we would meet up. During this first meeting, we soon discovered that we share a love for language, especially when that love is displayed in a beautiful, artistic way. And so it was that we decided to join forces & create some unique postcards together.
In September the postcard series ‘Words’ was released on Cardcetera; a unique collection of eight of my bright photographs & words, printed in full colour on the sturdy 350 gm paper. Due to their matt finish, all the postcards have a lovely vintage feel to them. The postcards are available in the Cardcetera webshop, where they can be purchased separately or as a set of 8.
